I just finished Altenew’s Academy’s Polychromatic Colors Class taught by Nina-Marie Trapani. Even though I have studied the principles of design. I did not know what Polychromatic colors were so I looked it up in dictionary. The simplest definition I found was two or more color; multicolored. The photo above is a polychromatic card on white card stock.

I used my Misti stamp positioning tool and stamped the wall paper stamp. I colored in the image with markers and then I cut them out. Then. I stamped the vase on card stock and on vellum. I cut out the vellum and colored a water line. Next I cut out stems for the flowers and assembled the card. I added a sentiment and in the top picture you can see the finished card. I love the bright cheery feel of this card.

I also decided to make a Monochromatic card in teal tones. I used a teal wallpaper image and a ginger jar from my craft stash. I very lightly stamped on leaves to the background of the card . I added a sentiment, I thought if would be fun to hang it just like it would be if you we receiving a flower delivery. I really enjoyed this class it got me thinking about color combinations. I pulled out my color wheel and had a great review.
