Creative Water Color Media

July 1 2019

I just finished Altenew’s Academy Water Color Media Class. It was taught by three instructors Jennifer Rzasa, Debby Hughes and Laura Brassen. The six lessons covered using re-inkers, sprays and crisp dye inks as water color medium. I really enjoyed the classes!

To make my card, I stamped a image on paper and on masking paper. I cut out the masking paper and stuck it on top of the image.

I made a water color mix using my Altenew water color set and a gold from my fine tech water set. I set the card directly on top of the wet mixture, I did this several times till I got the result I liked.

I finished the card by taking off the masking and then water coloring the flower and leaves. To finish, I added a little splatter and added a frame.

In the card above, I did not add the wet background. I decided to add a little splatter. I painted a two toned flower. The end results with the same stamped image quite different.

I decided to make one more card using gold embossing and teal Distressed ink.

To finish the card. I added some gold splatter and a sentiment in gold. I hope you enjoyed seeing my cards. Till next time happy stamping!
