Celebration: Stencil Techniques

Fun Teal Thank You card

I am continuing my Journey taking classes for the Altenew Educator Certification Program; and I really enjoyed the Celebrations: Stencil Techniques class. I first learned how to stencil years ago when I did a stenciling around the border of room. Stenciling on a card is a breeze after you have that. I love stenciling with my Altenew mini cubes. I also Like stenciling on watercolor paper. I am not sure what my favorite is yet; I have several kinds. In the teal card above I used Altenew Dew drops ink, water color stripes stencil, the flower is from the wild hibiscus stamp set, the thanks is from script word 2 set and I used some black embellishments from my craft stash. I just love teal!

I decided to stick with a thanks theme so I could make some thank you cards for a mother to be for part of her shower gift. In this card I used my Altenew cube inks, the layered medallion b stencil and the word script die 2 thanks. I love the simplicity of this card!

Made by my grand daughter she says Hi)

This is just for fun! I was going to make a card using the thanks as a stencil and my grand daughter saw it and wanted to learn how to stencil. She is five. I think she followed direction wonderfully. I walked out of the room to do something she cut it out and her Great Grandmother handed her markers and you see her end result. Making cards is so fun because everyone in family that want to get involved in crafting can. The girls also made their Mom really cute cards for Mother’s Day. Till next time Happy stamping!
