Clean and Simple Boutique Cards-Class Homework
April 5 2019
I really enjoyed this class from Altenew Academy! It really had a lot of information, and I think my favorite lesson was the pen and ink part. It’s not something I ever thought of trying. In the two cards I posted, I used the peony bouquet and sweet rose bouquet. I took the first layering stamp and then added color. Next, I used a pen to draw the details. I spent a whole evening playing with this idea. It was super fun! I plan on making these cards into a set of note cards as a gift, so I decided not to put a sentiment on them this time.
Background Stamping
The back ground stamp I used was from my garden treasure stamp set; and the greeting was from the birthday greeting set. I personally found this a bit of a challenge but I love the end result!

One of the homework projects was foiling. For Christmas, I received a Glimmer hot foil system. This card is made from that and a plate that is sold separately. It makes a good boy birthday card. I spent a evening practicing my new foiling skills. I really liked how this one turned out!

One of the lessons encouraged us to play with Luxury papers. So I used a eched die from my craft collection and some silver foil paper I bought from local craft store. Also, I used the word Hugs from Altenew Scripts set. Instead of using the cut out of Hugs, I used the reverse image. I hope you enjoyed seeing all my cards!

The outline is fun, isn’t it?! I really like your foiling card. The last card looks a bit incomplete. Here is a tip, You can heat emboss a sentiment on black with Silver embossing powder and adhere it to the card front too for a more polished look.
