Runway Inspired Card Making – Altenew

August 31,2019

I just finished Jennifer Rzasa’s Runway Inspired Card Making class. I am continuing my Journey to get my Altenew teacher certification. When it comes to fashion, I enjoy watching Project Runway. It’s so fun to see all the creativity, but I don’t really watch fashion shows or follow any designers. It was refreshing to see the cool pictures of all the outfits and then see the cards that Jennifer made. I decided to pick the use of color and texture for the cards I made for this lesson.

The sweater in the above picture is my inspiration for my card.

I am using the leave die set from the Wallpaper Art set. I cut out leaves and stacked them in sets of four. Then I glued them and let them dry. Next, I added a piece of paper on top and ran them through my die machine to get a nice impression.

I stamped and cut out flower images from Altenew Wallpaper Art stamp set.

You can really see the impression on the leaves in this gold card. I really like how it turned out. Next, I colored the flower with Altenew markers. The sentiment is from Altenew’s Sentiment Strips stamp set.

I had a great time creating this card and adding details. It was fun to see the card transform. I like the card in the black and white. The impression looks better in person, its not showing up great in this picture.

Next I colored with my Altenew and Copic markers. You can see the impression a lot better in this photo.

I really like the teal and the black together.

I decided to add a little more texture and added Nuvu white stone dots to the center of the flower. I love the added detail. I hope you enjoyed seeing my finished card.

Thanks for visiting my blog. Till next time, happy stamping!
