Altenew Educator “Favorite Old/ New Altenew Stamp” Blog Hop and Linky Party + Giveaway

March 29,2021

Welcome to the Favorite Old / New Altenew Stamp Blog hop . If your on the hop you have arrived from Kari VanNoy. I am excited to be part of this fun hop.. My friend Barbara first introduced me to Altenew stamps. She had a layering stamp named Peony Bouquet. I was so lucky that she let be borrow it. I had so much fun to stamping the four images. The end result was a beautifully colored flower. I also found Altenew academy about at the same time. I enjoyed taking a few classes and I saw they they offered classes and a Instructor certification. I decided to have a go at it and have not regretted that decision.

Today for the blog hop I chose the Altenew’s beautiful day stamp. I been spending time going through my stamp stash and trying to figure out multiple ways to use my stamps and dies. .In the past I had not taken advantage of the layered stamping images in this set , I usually like to watercolor this flower image. I had such a good morning in my craft room creating a bunch of cards. I had so much fun and I made a huge mess oops I forgot to take step by step photos. I decided to make a video. I hope you enjoy the content.

This is the first card I made, I stamped the flowers on the white card stock using sweet dream mini crisp die ink. Its a mini cube set. You get four colors that all coordinate. I used my half toned square die set and cut out a square, and got my paper cutter out and made black and teal layers. The hello die is from Altenew’s hello and hugs die set.

I keep this paper cutter right next to my desk.
For this card I cut three pieces of white paper 5 1/4 x 4,4 1/4 x 3 and 3 1/4 x 2 . I also cute three black pieces 5 1/2×4 1/2, 3 1/4 x 4 1/2 and 3 1/3 x 2 1/2 , I made a UTube video.
This is the card I show how to make on the video above.
I also made this card using just two layers.
I made this card using just plain card stock and no layers.

Here are the four cards I made using Altenew’s beautiful day stamp. It is for sure I my new favorite. I hope you enjoy the blog hop. I cant wait to see all the fun creations. Till next time happy stamping. If you are doing the Favorite Old / New Altenew Stamp Blog hop you next stop is Amber Rain Davis
